Two of the participants believe more in the reality of what the eye sees. They argue that the camera's zoom and filter functions allow the images it captures to be artificially altered, thus losing their objective realism.

One informant says she prefers to believe that the world as seen through the lens of a camera is more real. This is because the camera is able to zoom in or out of the field of view, whereas the human eye cannot. Therefore, she believes that the lens can perceive/sense what the eye cannot see.
